Research Objectives

Main objective of this research is to provide an unique platform for both Blood and Organ Donation management with advanced security features at first time in Sri Lanka. And also minimize the death rate occurred by organ donations.

Sub-objectives are as follows;

A. Block chain based tracking and generate a smart Identity: The block chain technology could help to improve the process, by providing a more reliable and accurate data in blood and organ donation. That would secure the blood and organ donation process while protecting sensitive patient and donor details by using blockchain.

B. Automate the blood group matching with location tracking system: Automate blood group matching finds the best match blood donor by GPS location service. Application is also ready to locate the best matches among the donors accessible with the assistance of automation technique.

C. Predicting future blood supply and demand in Sri Lanka: ‘LifeShare’ is Supply blood uninterruptedly in immediate incident through pre stored storages. By predicting future blood supply and demand we can estimate blood shortage earlier and store extra blood bags of rare blood groups for future 10 years by predicting data models and statistics.

D. Evaluating previous organ donation failures in Sri Lanka and find solutions by system’s approach: The current research seeks to identify the level of knowledge, attitude and commitment among people by updating special notices and news. And this part directly joins the social media for sharing requests. The questionnaires are generated for five main solid organs. System is analyzed the answers for each questionnaire and improve the service.
