Research Gap

According to our research, we identified a group of people facing some common problems stated above. So, when we solve these problems for a unique group of people, we have to use a common communication platform. When considering the feedback collected and analyzing mechanisms there are several types of researches that are reaching for it. But most of researchers have done only for a particular field such as blood donation and organ donation separately. But the proposed system gives solutions for both blood and organ donation by developing a unique platform after we identified unique features.

First component of system is different than existing systems because it utilizes to provide a trustful system to any stakeholders to use especially, voluntary blood donors to feel more confident in donating blood and use the blood tokens conveniently. The second component of the system is to automate blood group/organ matching with location tracking system. So, this function introduces special location tracking system integrating to platform. The proposed system is different than others because it utilizes machine learning algorithm for detecting the best matched donors.

Third component will be predicting future blood supply and demand via this platform. It is mainly focused about the demographic changes in Sri Lanka. The population-based projections of blood supply and demand, the predictions are made on the assumption of a constant per capital supply of blood and demand. Existing systems are not used in that assumption but hope to use it for the research. Also, this research part mainly considers about rare blood type prediction is the specific option in this research part that not considered in other existing system components.
